Job Description


Role Responsibilities

Responsible for budgeting/planning of GBS Malaysia operating cost include but not limited to Support Function (management overhead) and Property.

Support the CFO/Financial Controller/Respective Head of Department in managing the operating cost and a trusted business finance advisor to respective stakeholder.

Support the Business / Function Unit Head and UORM in controlling the level of operational risk (OR) exposure that results from business / function unit activities by co-ordinating, facilitating and promoting the understanding and awareness on overall OR

Strategy*

This role is to provide \xe2\x80\x98real time\xe2\x80\x99 support and analysis, to be trusted advisor and add value that will assist in decision making.

Business*

Experience from other financial roles such as accountant and financial analyst is a basic start in the journey to becoming a finance business partner. In addition to this, one must have a vast knowledge of the business industry and have a range of skills.

Processes*

\xc2\xb7 Proven experience in organising, planning, and executing activities from conceptualisation through implementation across multiple internal and external reporting and organisational lines, including proven ability to adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements

\xc2\xb7 Support business planning by providing financial analysis and modelling.

\xc2\xb7 Identify and measure key success drivers.

\xc2\xb7 Providing finance and business support to commercial and operational staff.

\xc2\xb7 Support decision making with data and insight.

\xc2\xb7 Preparing and involve in Group Budget Cycle

\xc2\xb7 Assisting in month end closing and managing the numbers as per budget.

\xc2\xb7 Coach and develop financial awareness within respective function / business unit.

\xc2\xb7 Strong accounting knowledge (MFRS)

\xc2\xb7 Advance knowledge in financial system eg: MS Office, SAP, Hyperion, Oracle, PeopleSoft etc

\xc2\xb7 Project management

Risk Management*

Assist the CFO / FC, and the Unit Operation Risk Manager in identifying and managing key risk areas; ensure compliance and improve internal controls and financial processes for the Company. This includes building management and operational control awareness within Country Finance team and ensure applicable policies and procedures are documented and embedded in operating manuals and instructions

Governance*

\xc2\xb7 Support compliance initiatives relevant to the function.

\xc2\xb7 Review and challenge remediation / treatment plan set by the function to effectively mitigate risks / remediate control weaknesses / issues

Regulatory & Business Conduct*

\xc2\xb7 Display exemplary conduct and live by the .

Qualifications*

Training, licenses, memberships and certifications

\xc2\xb7 Degree qualified or completion of CMA/CPA/ACCA/MBA Finance

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 10-15 years of working experience with strong knowledge in planning & budgeting

\xc2\xb7 Experience in financial services industry will be added advantage.

\xc2\xb7 Hands on approach and result oriented.

\xc2\xb7 Strong verbal and communication skills.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrated capability to succeed in a rapidly growing environment

\xc2\xb7 Leadership/interpersonal skills/ management including organization skills, conflict management, time management and active listening skills.
