Job Description


Role Responsibilities

  • Support Head, Business Management Office in preparing, coordinating data and producing management insights with right storytelling at key leadership forums in business language.
  • Support the Management office and the leadership team in their business problems via relevant data & analytics, during various stages of projects or initiatives.

Business*

Must have a good understanding of the concepts, methods and techniques used:
  • Analytics, for example diagnostic, descriptive, predictive and prescriptive.
  • AI, for example machine learning, natural language processing.
  • Data management, for example data integration (ETL) or metadata.
  • Data architecture, for example the difference between data warehouse, data lake or data hub.
  • Data modelling, for creation of right reusable data assets
  • Data governance, for example MDM, data quality and data stewardship practices.
  • Statistical skills, for example understanding the difference between correlation and causation.
Must have a good understanding of the business process and associated data:
  • Business Acumen, for example understanding business concepts, practices and business domain language to engage in problem solving sessions and discuss business issues in stakeholder language.
  • Business Process Transformation, for example ability to understand how D&A can help redesign the way work is done.
  • Business data, for example the structure, ownership and use within an organization
Processes*
  • Support Head, Group Enablement Services Business Management Office to co-ordinates data insights and management;
  • Support Head, Group Enablement Services Business Management Office to work closely with the Leadership team and the regional/local teams on data management, project planning, overall project governance and various management reporting.

  • Monitor process implementation effectiveness, identify key areas for improvement / issues and enhance process / controls embedding for the effective management of risk including reviewing CSTs, KRIs etc
  • Engage teams on the framework parameters and cascade necessary updates to required Delegates.
  • Liaise with the various stakeholders to obtain status updates and determine and agree on required actions

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Qualifications*

Training, licenses, memberships and certifications
  • Bachelor degree from a reputable university
  • Minimum of 10+ years experience in banking or consulting field, with proven track record in project / initiative implementation, business analyst skills and generally getting things done with the flexibility to adapt
  • Knowledge of Banks policies and procedures relating to data and key risk areas/risk types such as data risk and management would be a plus
  • Good stakeholder management and collaboration skills geographies and lines of business,
  • Highly disciplined and structured with an outcome oriented and logical mindset and approach
  • Able to work independently and also as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to handle multi-tasks, manage time effectively and perform under pressure and able to work at flexible hours
  • Other than the above, job holder should follow other job duties and responsibilities assigned by line manager from time to time as needed.
