Job Description


Summary

The Delivery Manager will lead end-to-end accountability for the overall technical delivery of products and solutions for the Digital Transformation and Product portfolio, whilst partnering with Digital Product team to act as \xe2\x80\x9cone team\xe2\x80\x9d in providing these solutions. Delivery Managers work to ensure the team\'s success in delivery, primarily by helping to identify and especially remove impediments impacting on the team\'s ability to deliver high quality solutions in a timely manner.

General Responsibilities

  • Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, e.g., partners, vendors etc, to influence and drive decision-making.
  • Communicate and collaborate with matrix of functional and product leaders and system service owners to ensure understanding and alignment of project timeline and objectives needed by stakeholders.
  • Track and manage demands, projects, new/change request via governance model to safeguard agreed delivery timely according to SLA where applicable.
  • Partner with business and product stakeholders on a tactical and operational level to ensure initiatives and projects are setup, kicked-off and delivered timely and positively.
  • Pro-actively identify improvement opportunities either in process, solution, etc and propose improvement plan.
  • Manage and address project conflicts, issues, risks, and expectation and ensure they are escalated or addressed on a timely manner.
  • Develop communication plan to ensure key stakeholders are updated consistently and within expectation.
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to development team
  • Partnering with business stakeholders and architects to understand business requirements.
  • Ensure quality standards are built into the development phase with a quality first approach.
  • Put in change management processes to manage and deliver agreed business outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of inclusiveness and have active participation from the team during team meetings and standups.
  • identify areas of improvement from each sprint and work towards continuous improvement to improve sprint velocity and quality.
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Strong leadership in driving, coaching, and building team\'s capability to achieve team/function goals, including assessment of team technical competencies and gaps.
  • Set direction and lead, drive, and motivate team members to achieving project objectives.
  • Able to influence opinions and decisions when working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to remove impediments, protect the team and inspire high sense of self-organization & high performance within the team.
  • Lead team, set direction and cascade team/function goals to ensure goals are well- defined and clearly communicated.

  • Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situation with professionalism.
  • Drive and coordinate crisis management.

  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of technology leadership, business leadership and strategic planning in a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing and coaching development team in an Agile development environment.
  • Demonstrate experience in application solution design, application and process integration, IT infrastructure design (including cloud), cyber security and technology, solution implementation, migration, and modernization.
  • Excellent communicator, both in communication with specialists and with main stakeholders
  • Comfortable presenting and influencing at senior level.
  • Demonstrate appreciation and respect for cultural sensitivities especially in cross country/culture interactions
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years\' experience in a similar role
  • Minimum eight to ten years\' experience in a managerial capacity
