WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This position is expected to provide team leadership with regards the continuous enhancement and delivery of:
1. Group Corporate Centre ("GCC") Liquidity Analytics and Operations;
2. Group-wide Cash & Liquidity Forecasting;
3. Group Treasury Data Operations.
The position is also expected to provide subject matter expertise with respect to:
1) Supporting stakeholder within Group Treasury, local business unit Finance functions with respect to Group-wide treasury infrastructure and best practices relating to bank account management and cash-flow forecasting.
2) Managing the build out and development of the function to support data-driven liquidity analytics solutions and data operations to support such analytics;
3) Engaging with local business unit Treasury teams and Group Financial Services ("GFS") to adopt scalable liquidity analytics solutions.
4) Provide thought leadership, as a Group office treasury function, with respect to the design, testing and delivery of transformative Group Treasury projects and initiatives.
5) Collaborating with local business unit Treasury teams and GFS to adopt Group standard best practices with respect to bank account management and payment transfers.

This position is responsible for:

Team Management and Delivery: Group Corporate Centre Cash Forecasting, Liquidity and Bank Account Management and Treasury Reporting:

Managing the day-to-day priorities, activities and deliverables of the Group Treasury Operations Analytics, Advisory and Data Operations team in Malaysia Shared Services ("MYOSS") in Cyberjaya Malaysia, including but not limited to the following:

• Supervising the team responsible for the production of GCC cash forecasts and Daily Liquidity Adequacy Ratio (LAR) calculations;
• Ensure funding of all GCC bank accounts by initiating cash transfers and funding, foreign exchange transactions and deposit / money market placements.
• Supervise the production and continuous development of GCC specific treasury reports such as the bi-monthly FAM Investment Balance, GCC Monthly Cash Flow Tracking, Interest Validation Report and other reports as required.
• Support as required the Group-wide liquidity reporting and it's continuous automation and development to become data-driven liquidity analytics; and
• Understand and maintain all Group Treasury authorities as required.

• Implement and test enhancements to the GCC Cash Forecast as required based on emerging trends in GCC cash management and bank structure.

Projects, Transformation, Efficiency:

• Supporting digitization and automation through participation in the design, testing and delivery of transformative Group Treasury projects and initiatives, providing subjective matter expertise with respect to cash forecasting, liquidity management and treasury reporting.
• Communicating and collaborating with the Group Treasury Operations Process, Technology, Data Innovation and Transformation team, Group Financial Services ("GFS") and Local Business Unit ("LBU") Treasury teams to support the group-wide adoption of cash forecasting and treasury reporting solutions.

Data Operations:

• Overseeing the implementation, through the identification, hiring and onboarding of a technical resource, and development of a Group Treasury Data Operations to support the on-going stewardship of the Treasury Data Mart.

Other:

• Assist with the production of Liquidity Assessment Reports for Business Units when required.
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by immediate manager to meet business requirements.

Job Requirements:

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in business or finance or related.
• Professional finance-related designations (CPT, CPA, CFA etc.) would be viewed favourably.

Experience:

• Minimum 10-15 years' progressive experience financial services, preferably insurance companies in a finance role.
• Minimum 6-8 years' experience in a treasury role, or similar finance function involving cash transfers and liquidity, preferably with insurance companies or bank.
• Experience in manage people.
• Experience operating within a dynamic project-oriented environment.

Knowledge, skills and competencies:

• Agile mindset who can respond and adapt to new requirements and projects.
• Self-starting and an ability to escalate issues as they materialize to ensure resolution is expedited adequately.
• Drives initiatives independently and takes ownership of results.
• Can develop solutions to complex and ambiguous challenges independently.
• Able to perform effectively under stressful and time sensitive conditions.
• An existing knowledge of cash management banking products across Asia-Pacific is preferred.
• An existing knowledge of asset classes and investment instruments in beneficial.
• The candidate will be expected to communicate primarily with Group Treasury and banks in Hong Kong and therefore ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset.
