As an HR generalist, the incumbent will assist HR Business Partner and relevant stakeholders in supporting the business requirements and delivering the HR agenda for a range of functional units through operational effectiveness and strategic partnership. The incumbent will play a supporting role in implementing key regional initiatives and HR related projects, leveraging the specialist skills available within regional HR, including organisational effectiveness, performance management, strategic resourcing, talent management and leadership development initiatives. In addition, the role holder will have a local responsibility for the Malaysia Head Office.

Principal Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

Building understanding of function, developing strong relationships and ownership of all HR

aspects for functions / teams

  • Develop and implement annual HR calendar for respective functions covering key events,
communication plans, road shows related to functional HR initiatives, engagement events,

technical and behavioural training and development etc
  • Overall accountability for recruitment comprising but not limited to the following:
  • Partnering with hiring managers to determine staffing needs for both SG and MY team
  • Screening resumes
  • Performing in person and phone interviews with candidates
  • Administering appropriate company assessments
  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Preparation of compensation approvals for offers and onboarding of new hires
  • Managing the Company panel of recruiters
Timely Implementation of HR Processes in function and PSA Operations
  • Accurate and timely employee life-cycle management throughout the year including timely and accurate documentation. Covers all people processes including recruitment, induction and onboarding, leaver management, correctness of data and records on workday, contracts etc
  • Independent management of all Employee Relations issues in relevant functions in line with legal frameworks and company polices
  • Ensuring that all data on workday are up to date
Design and implementation of functional projects / priorities which could include (different

for each function in remit)
  • Retention of key talent through growth and development initiatives (facilitating and managing
secondments, projects, transfers etc) and developing a view of talent in the function across the group
  • Partnering with people managers and further building their skills in areas like Objective setting,
  • Reward management, Feedback etc
  • Ensuring high uptake of employee and manager self-service on people systems
  • Contribute to, and take accountability for initiatives being implemented / managed by Resourcing, Talent Development specialists for own client groups
Job Requirements
  • Graduate /Postgraduate in HR with minimum of 7-10 years relevant HR work experience
  • Employee Relations - experience of managing ER issues across a range of functions together with an understanding of the key jurisdictional arrangements across Asia Pacific.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills - effective in developing and managing relationships
  • Ability to confidently interact across all levels of the organisation
  • Good project management skills with past successful experience in handling large and complex projects
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Able to work independently in a decentralised / matrix organization
  • Experience in workday will be advantageous
