Job Description

JOB PURPOSE The Senior Manager, Impact Office, is responsible to lead the Impact Office, and the overall implementation of Taylor\'s Purpose Learning with Impact Labs, guided by the University\'s strategic plan. The Senior Manager, Impact Office, functions as an enabler so that the Impact Labs can function effectively to make a positive impact on society, by working with various internal and external stakeholders. The intended outcome of this position is to enable Taylor\'s Purpose Learning and Impact Labs to achieve their objectives, impacting people, the planet and prosperity through education, research and advocacy. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES The key job outcomes are: Taylor\'s requirements to operationalize Purpose Learning with Impact Labs (i.e. Impact Labs Handbook and other resources) are established, maintained up-to-date and communicated to relevant internal stakeholders. Establishment of impact labs is facilitated, and lab directors are guided on how to lead and manage an impact lab, including impact projects conceptualization and partnership establishment, based on Taylor\'s established requirements. Impact projects\' implementation (including partnership establishment), and lab leadership team\'s effectiveness are tracked based on Taylor\'s requirements. Overall impact of the university based on the impact projects is reported and communicated to stakeholders and the public based on Taylor\'s requirements. More specifically, Work with the senior management and Impact Lab Directors to establish and operationalise the impact labs with resources needed Support the senior management and Impact Lab Directors to carry out annual business planning and budgeting for Impact Labs Partner with the Impact Lab Directors to institutionalise impact labs\' projects by working with various stakeholders Be a point of reference for enquiries from internal staff and external organisations Be a resource centre for impact labs focusing on common and regular resources needed by the impact labs, including the Impact Labs Handbook Benchmark and institutionalise good strategies and practices to advance the Purpose Learning with Impact Labs initiative Communicate Taylor\'s Purpose Learning and Impact Labs internally and externally to gain credibility, visibility and support, through managing the various communication channels Monitor and report the progress of Taylor\'s impact through impact labs\' projects internally and externally, including publishing an annual impact report Support the Impact Lab Directors to establish targeted partnerships with external organisations for education, research and advocacy purposes, strengthening the mutual benefits through sharing credibility, visibility, funding, expertise, facilities, networks and other resources Support the Impact Lab Directors to create visibility of impact labs and living labs on campus Carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time JOB SPECIFICATIONS MINIMUM ACADEMIC / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION Bachelor\'s degree. Preferably Master\'s degree. RELATED EXPERIENCE At least five (5) years of related working experience, in terms of project management, business administration, marketing or mass communication Preferably with working experience at an established non-governmental organization (NGO) as a programme manager COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES) Good project management and problem-solving skills Good stakeholders management skills Good communication skills including written and oral communication skills Good knowledge of the higher education and industries for communication purposes COMPETENCIES (BEHAVIOURAL) Passionate about education, especially Purpose Learning and Impact Labs Entrepreneurial Self-motivated and responsive Dynamic team leader and team player with strong initiative and a strong sense of responsibility Resourceful problem solver and enabler Independent and able to work across faculties and departments People and results-oriented
