An exciting Senior Manager, Network Security job opportunity has just become available at one of the leading telco companies in Malaysia. About the Senior Manager, Network Security Role:
This position provides support for all network changes including planned changes, network upgrades, switch and level patching, configuration changes encompassing regular and critical network changes to minimise or eliminate network intrusion attempts that could expose data. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations and implementation of Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) and any issues that arise
• Conduct technical security feasibility studies and strategy for current and future partnerships
• Conduct continuous assessment of current IT security practices and systems and identifying areas of improvement
• Report and manage all network cybersecurity related incidents
• Demonstrate considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of computer and complex telecommunications network concepts including the OSI Layer 1 through Layer 7 protocol layers, host to host communications, Intrusion Prevention Systems, routing, and network management, TCP/IP, MPLS, OSPF, B

To succeed in this Senior Manager, Network Security role, you must have a good appetite for change and show an impressive ability to drive IT security forward in the network sphere. Key Requirements:

• Degree in IT and/or engineering and 10 - 15 years of experience working in IT/network security technical field
• Experience as an SOC Manager/Cybersecurity Analyst and worked in a SOC/NOC environment
• Strong working knowledge of current telco risks, security implementations, network and software programmes
• Familiar with Telecom Network OSS/BSS and technical solutioning knowledge in PS/IP core
• Analytical mind, problem-solving, multitasking and presentation skills
