Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall organization and management of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Process Engineering and Chassis Assembly Engineering Team. The Engineering Manager leads this team to improve overall plant productivity and quality by working with Celestica GDS team for HPS, the manufacturing operation and the use of continuous improvement programs.

To develop the right competencies in process engineering capability and yield improvement in a complex middle mix, middle volume environment in both PBCA and box build assembly
To manage a team of engineers and technicians to drive manufacturing-engineering excellence & Seemless Products Transfer
Establishes technical priorities, supports the development of plant quality systems and utilizes his/her experience and resources to best meet process improvement initiatives, quality objectives and profitability objectives of the organization
Leads by example, develops a culture of strong engineering discipline through the use of advanced quality tools such as FMEAs, DOE\'s, SPC and process modeling
To lead and drive process/product/equipment engineering activities in line with CLS values and Leadership Behaviors to ensure compliance to industry standards, regulatory
Provide technical leadership to CFT operations, establish technology roadmap and work closely with corporate and regional technical teams pertaining to engineering development roadmap and improvements
Works effectively with equipment manufacturers and material suppliers to identify opportunities to improve yields and capability through new techniques, equipment upgrades and cutting-edge technology investments. Stays abreast of technology trends both within and outside the PCB industry
Works closely with the CFT leader to ensure the engineering organization\'s goals are aligned with the plant and company objectives
Works closely with GDS to establish engineering capability to support HPS pilot build and mass production sustenance.
Leads customer calls and visits as required
Any other relevant duties/responsibilities to be assigned from time to time
