Technical Expertise - Primary point of contact for all electrical systems related to the signaling and control system of the rail network. Provide expert-level knowledge of railway signaling principles, train control systems, interlocking systems, and associated technologies.
System Design and Implementation - Collaborate with engineering teams in review and analysis of the design and implementation of signaling and control systems specifications, that are submitted by the Consultants and/or Contractors to ensure compliance with technical requirements (performance, safety, regulatory, and O&M objectives.
Testing & Commissioning - Review the testing and commissioning (T&C) program and test protocols for the rolling stock, attend and witness these activities including the Fault-free Running Test before the acceptance and delivery to the site for revenue operation (when required) to meet the mandatory, voluntary, and contractual requirements for the construction, commissioning and system operation.
Safety and Compliance - Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines related to railway signaling and control systems. Ensure that all signaling and control system components comply with safety, environmental, and performance standards.
Training & Knowledge Transfer - Arrange training sessions and share knowledge and best practices for internal teams and external stakeholders on signaling & train control systems.
Stakeholder Relations - Build and establish good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders (line managers and contractors, etc.) in daily interactions to enhance project reliability and maintainability.
People Management & Development - Provide overall direction, support, feedback, coaching, and opportunities for the development of Signalling Engineers and/or take corrective action when appropriate to build a high-performing team with high standards of excellence.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications/Telecommunications Engineering.
10 to 15 years of working experience with at least 7 years in Computer Based Train Control (CBTC) systems experience.
Extensive professional experience in designing, testing, and maintaining railway signaling and control systems.
Knowledge of railway systems and related operating practices, along with their key interactions with other railway assets.
Hands-on experience managing the production, checking, and approval of feasibility, outline, and detailed signaling principles design and calculations.

Serves as lead engineer on mid-to-large size projects.
