:The role of a Software Engineering Senior Manager involves strategic leadership, overseeing multiple teams, and driving the overall technical direction of an organization. The senior manager plays a critical role in shaping the technical strategy and success of an organization. The focus is on both high-level strategy and day-to-day management to ensure the effective delivery of software solutions.List of responsibilities:1) Strategic Leadership

• Provide strategic leadership for the entire software engineering department.
• Contribute to the development of the overall organizational strategy.
• Define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the software engineering department.
• Align technical decisions with long-term business goals.

2) Team Management

• Manage and lead multiple software engineering teams.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with other department heads, executives, and stakeholders to align technical solutions with organizational objectives.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.

3) Resource Allocation & Talent Development

• Optimize resource allocation across projects and teams.
• Ensure that teams have the necessary resources and support to succeed.
• Oversee talent development and succession planning.
• Provide mentorship and guidance for leadership development within the engineering teams.

4) Budget Management

• Manage the budget for the software engineering department.
• Make strategic decisions to allocate resources effectively.

5) Quality Assurance

• Implement and oversee quality assurance processes and standards.
• Ensure that software solutions meet high-quality standards.

Qualification and requirements

• Recommended qualification in Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering or other related Digital Engineering field with minimum 12 years of working experience in software development and delivery.
• Min of 6 years of management experience with proven track record in leading software engineering teams and delivering digital products at scale.
• Expert understanding in the following technology domain (combination): infrastructure, data centers, network, security, disaster recovery, system integration, cloud and monitoring.
• Experience in Cloud development and environments, including participation in cloud transformation projects.
• Experience in automation testing frameworks and process automation combined with experience utilizing DevSecOps tools and implementing them at the enterprise level.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing industry standard documentation for PCI, PDPA, GDPR, ISO compliance, or equivalents.
