JOB SUMMARY



The University is seeking a globally minded and experienced Senior Manager, International and Local Student Recruitment to support the Director in implementing the University's recruitment strategy across domestic and international markets. This role will manage a diverse team of student recruitment managers and officers and will play a key part in delivering against enrolment targets and deepening market engagement.

As a member of the recruitment leadership team, the Senior Manager will work closely with and support the Director to ensure all recruitment activities are aligned with the University's broader strategic goals. The role also involves co-engagement with institutional and education partners and contributes operationally to the growth of our transnational education presence in the region.

Key Duties & Responsibilities



1. STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT



Support the Director in executing the overall student recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities across all markets. Translate strategic direction into tactical plans for local and international recruitment teams. Provide regular market feedback and insights to the Director to support strategic decision-making.

2. TEAM LEADERSHIP &DELIVERY OVERSIGHT



Lead, manage and coach local and international student recruitment managers and their teams to meet or exceed enrolment targets. Foster a collaborative and high-performing culture, ensuring accountability and professional growth across regions. Set performance goals in line with institutional KPIs and support team members in achieving recruitment outcomes.

3. INTERNATIONAL RECRUITMENT FOCUS



Lead planning and delivery of international recruitment activities across Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and other priority regions. Maintain strong relationships with regional agents, school counsellors, alumni networks and in-market representatives. Identify market risks and opportunities and work with the Director to refine recruitment approaches accordingly.

4. PARTNERSHIP AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT



Co-engage with the Director to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with schools, colleges, universities and education agencies. Provide operational support for partnership initiatives such as articulation pathways,feeder school agreements and outreach events. Represent the University at key partner events, education fairs and virtual engagements as required.

5. PROCESS AND COMPLIANCE



Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications and oversee effective use of CRM systems, recruitment workflows and reporting dashboards to monitor pipeline performance. Ensure compliance with admissions policies, partner engagement protocols and ethical recruitment practices. Keep the Director updated on recruitment funnel performance, risk areas and recommended interventions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS



Essential Qualifications & Experience A recognised bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Education, or related field (postgraduate qualification is an advantage). Minimum of 7 years' experience in student recruitment, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management role. Demonstrated success in international recruitment and stakeholder engagement, particularly within Southeast Asia and/or South Asia. Prior experience working in a branch campus, international school, or transnational education context is highly desirable. Strong team leadership and people development capabilities. Effective communicator and relationship builder, confident in engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. Organised, analytical, and comfortable working with data to inform decisions. Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with senior leadership.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
