• The responsibilities of the individual holding this position are to develop, implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
• The individual in this position also determines time standards, makes resources balancing proposals and makes recommendations for line tooling requirements of new or existing product lines.
• The individual needs to maintain records of manufacturing operations and report key manufacturing metrics.
• The individual should be equipped with continuous improvement skills with emphasis on LEAN methodologies, Process FMEA knowledge, 8D problem solving methods as well as other skills relating to technical support of a production line.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Work as the manufacturing focal to undertake production support activities including:

• Work closely with the NPI team to start up manufacturing activities
• Design production shop floor layout to achieve efficient floor space utilization
• Define complex tools and equipment needed for new product startup
• Analyse and plans workforce utilization and estimate production times
• Liaise with equipment and fixture vendors for equipment setup and fixture fabrication
• Provide inputs for estimating manufacturing costs
• Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications or design changes and responds to their request

Perform in a production engineering role to:

• Lead problem solving/corrective action groups made up of cross-functional team members
• Develop, verify and maintain tooling spares and programs for all equipment and tooling
• Interface with Quality in resolving all non-conformance issues
• Investigate and determine corrective actions for customer complaints and quality non-compliances
• Provide leadership and training to other manufacturing engineers
• Ad-hoc duties when assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess at least bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering (Manufacturing/ Mechanical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent).
• Min 5 years of working experience in EMS Manufacturing Environment.
• Experience in supporting end-to-end manufacturing operations including mechanical assembly, End-of-line testing and packaging.
• Experience in production tools, fixtures and testing equipment management methods Leadership and teamwork attributes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with co-workers\xe2\x80\x99 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly document all work and communicate technical ideas.
• Experience in liaising with equipment, jig & fixture vendors will be an advantage.
• Experience in Inventory Control and ERP system will be an advantage Good in 5s housekeeping habits.
• Pro-active and possesses self-motivation to stay engaged and actively involved in all Production related activities.
• Knowledge of MIS/MES and ERP system is preferable e.g. SAP, IFS, ARAS, etc
