We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.Responsibilities:As a Senior Materials Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing materials engineering activities for Electrical/Component commodities, providing comprehensive materials engineering solutions to manufacturing lines, R&D, and NPI sites to meet Keysight\'s business needs and quality expectations. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Supplier Development: Explore and develop supplier capabilities to effectively support Keysight\'s sourcing and technical requirements.
  • Technology Exploration: Actively research and source for new components with latest technologies to meet Keysight\'s future requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate with suppliers for technical specification studies, root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with Keysight\'s quality expectations.
  • Cost-saving Initiatives: Lead projects on cost-saving initiatives, including alternative material/part recommendations and qualification plans aligned with Keysight\'s product requirements.
  • Design Influence: Provide input to product design to ensure materials manufacturability and alignment with the global supply chain.
  • Crisis Resolution: Lead efforts to resolve materials quality/manufacturability issues/part shortage efficiently.
  • Collaboration and Improvement: Collaborate with procurement and internal product teams to enhance/sustain products and processes by understanding material technology obsolescence and future roadmaps.
  • Supplier Audits: Conduct supplier audits to drive process standardization and continuous improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials engineering or related field.
  • Strong understanding of operations, supply chain, and NPI workflows.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and working effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to navigate dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively communicate technical information across all levels and functions.
  • Agility to adapt to changing requirements and drive continuous improvement.
