Job Description

JOB SCOPE:

Supervise and manage a team of automobile mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed. Allocate work assignments to automobile mechanics and technicians, and ensure that work is performed in accordance with standard operating procedures. Monitor and review the progress of work orders, ensuring that deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed. Conduct regular inspections of work in progress and completed repairs to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical issues or problems, providing technical expertise and guidance to automobile mechanics and technicians. Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring that resources, equipment, and materials are available and utilized efficiently. Maintain and update service records, including work orders, repair logs, and customer information, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and clean working environment for both employees and customers. Collaborate with other departments or teams, such as parts procurement or service advisors, to facilitate smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of automobile mechanics/technicians. Proficient in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing automobile issues or problems. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in automotive repairs. Strong knowledge of workshop equipment and tools, including diagnostic equipment and hand tools. Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic. Possess a minimum Diploma/Technical or Vocational training in Automotive field is preferred. Good communication and organizational skills.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
