What is the role about?

As a seasoned Senior Engineer (Level 3) with the Modern Workspace team in Managed Services, you are dedicated to elevating the customer experience. You\'re an asset to the Service Centre Team, providing expert technical support to keep customer environments at the forefront of innovation. Your goal is to revolutionize customer environments through automation and optimization, using a systematic framework to consistently improve and streamline their experience.

Your core responsibilities will consist of:

• Facilitate workshops to identify trends and issues in customer environments.
• Drive the development of innovative solutions to enhance customer environments.
• Implement permanent corrective fixes following established change processes.
• Document solutions and knowledge in our knowledge management system.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support as the last point of resolution to the Service Centre Team.
• Conduct training to the L2 Operational Support team as needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 5 years of relevant experience in Managed Services environment or relevant industry.

• Possess strong knowledge of backup, recovery, replication solutions, including D2D and deduplication technology, and SAN/NAS Storage.

• Possess Master-level proficiency in Commvault Backup, Avamar, Veeam Backup, Data Domain, DPA, VMware, and EMC Networker technologies.

• Skilled in vendor management, SLA understanding, ITIL processes, and Change Management Methodologies. Bonus for industry certification in Commvault, Veeam, or Avamar.

• Be available for after-hours support as needed.

• A self-starter with attention to detail who works well under pressure.
