Department Overview The IP & Network Security team is responsible for network integration, implementation and design for Mission Critical systems globally creating bespoke network solutions for various project teams. We also act as a single point of contact for all matters relating to cybersecurity within our business unit in a project environment.



Please note this position is fully remote.

You will contribute to network implementation and design projects ensuring that our systems are always delivered successfully and on time.

As a member of the IP & Network Security Team, you will be engaged with a growing group of talented specialists in a people-focused team, encouraging growth and development. This role will be ideal for someone who has previous hands-on technical experience with network design and implementation, and has worked in a customer-facing role.

More about the role:

Our team is a point of escalation for projects, you will be actively involved in designing and influencing Customer Network Interface (CNI) design

Cascade design standards and best practice from other architecture teams and design authorities

Act as a Networking subject matter expert for CNI within the International Systems Integration community, and represent network design internally and externally

Develop and provide training on Networking principles and Motorola Network Design standards and best practices.

Champion new technologies, solutions and initiatives

Be a strategic thinker who can communicate network concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Work independently on projects and internal initiatives, as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Plan and manage multiple projects and parallel work streams

Basic Requirements

Candidate must have at least a Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline, as well as 3 years of experience in a network design & implementation role.

Networking skillset to a CCNP, JNCIP-SP, NRS-II, or equivalent level. Current certifications preferred.

Experience with DIMETRA or other TETRA radio systems is highly desirable.

Deep understanding of TCP/IP networks and configuration experience of (but not limited to) OSPF, VRRP, BGP, BFD, VPN

Configuration experience of Firewalls, Routers and Switches

Experience with developing and delivering networking training material to technical staff.

Ability to deliver project support, providing guidance and support to customers.

Excellent knowledge of creating networking design documentation (HLD/LLD)

Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and networking guidelines.

Knowledge of public safety communications is preferable.
