. The selected individual will work closely with the
Resource Mobilisation and Sustainability (RMS) Team
to lead fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relations, and develop sustainable partnership strategies.
Key Role
This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's financial sustainability by identifying new funding opportunities, preparing high-impact proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and supporting the long-term continuity of MRCS programmes.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement comprehensive strategies for fundraising and organizational sustainability.
Develop and manage relationships with diverse donor segments: corporates, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional donors.
Prepare and submit compelling fundraising proposals, grant applications, and donor reports.
Build and maintain strategic partnerships and consortia aligned with MRCS' strategic objectives.
Conduct market research to identify emerging funding opportunities.
Lead strategic planning efforts for long-term fundraising and partnership initiatives.
Support project design, budget planning, and implementation of resource mobilisation activities.
Represent MRCS in high-level donor meetings, forums, and events.
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in International Development, Strategic Management, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience, including in senior-level roles in international development or donor engagement.
Proven track record in donor proposal writing and successful fundraising from corporate donors, private philanthropists, trusts/foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
Strong experience in institutional capacity building and humanitarian programming.
Cross-cultural experience, preferably within the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior experience working with the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement is an added advantage.
