We are currently seeking Senior Package Equipment Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Successful candidates would be offered a fixed term of employment.About The JobPerform engineering detailed design on current projects for onshore /offshore projects and to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the CompanyMain AccountabilitiesDESIGN BASIS, CODE & STANDARD

  • Understanding and applying knowledge of design codes, industries standard and practices such as API/ISO/ ASME, etc. and Interpretation of the requirement to meet project requirement
  • Competent to resolve problems /trouble shoot based on Codes & Standards interpretation
  • Understand Codes limitation, apply with accuracy and effectiveness.
  • In-depth understanding of Client\'s specification (e.g. PTS, DEP etc.) and provide service which meet contract requirements
  • Review and raise clarifications on the ITB /Client documents/ Contractual documents in case of ambiguity in definition / lack of clarity / lack of reference/ areas of doubt etc. based on specialist experience /judgment.
KNOWLEDGE OF PACKAGE EQUIPMENT
  • In-depth understanding of package equipment used generally in oil and gas / refinery / industries for onshore and offshore applications, and select correct types of equipment for a given process service application
  • Competent to review Vendor\'s various options (including limitation and /or deviation) and provide detailed technical evaluation (TBE/TBT) of the equipment.
  • Competent to review in-house and Vendor\'s P&IDs and identify interfaces for the equipment
  • Competent to witness the Vendor FAT / shop testing, and review test reports and provide relevant comments if any
  • Competent to participate effectively to resolve any issues related to equipment testing in case of failures / deficiencies /under-performance /discrepancy during shop testing.
  • Competent to provide support by responding to Site Technical Queries (STQ) regarding equipment engineering design /equipment installation / mechanical completion for field acceptance
  • Competent to explore cost-saving options / energy efficient measures during project execution phase or during proposal, if requested, and if available
  • Competent to review the documents prepared by Subordinates (as Checker /Technical Advisor), and show guidance / technical advice to Subordinates
  • Competent to actively involved in the equipment / project HAZOP and close out of any action points
MATERIAL SELECTION
  • Understanding of various types of materials to be used for different services (Wet CO2 service, sour service, low-temperature service, toxic service, etc ) and knowledge of material available in the market for the particular service and equipment , and review of Vendor proposes material.
  • In-depth understanding of materials grades to be used based on process\'s input / material selection report / corrosion study, and provide feedback if necessary, in-case of the material selected are in questions.

VENDOR DATA REVIEW (VDR)
  • Expert review on Vendor Data Review to meet Codes and Standards, Local Regulations, project and disciplines requirements
  • Competent to interface with other disciplines like piping /stress group, process, civil, electrical, structural and instrumentation
  • Able to understand interface issues with other disciplines, and resolve any conflict
  • Able to conduct VDR meeting with vendor /support Vendor in case of needs to shorten the VDR duration and to achieve project progress.
FABRICATION KNOWLEDGE
  • Understand fabrication process, critical element/ critical path and how its influence the delivery of equipment
  • Able to anticipant effectively to improve delivery schedule of Vendor equipment
PERFORM AS LEAD ENGINEER ROLE
  • Once assigned as a Lead Engineer, able to provide total commitment to meet project values, monitoring of progress for achieve delivery objective, and execute within appropriate resources
  • To provide pro-activeness, creativity and efficiency in project execution
  • Coordinate and plan resources for execution of project.
TECHNICAL AUDITS
  • Ability to carry out technical audits at the Department Manager request (For Senior Engineer more than 10 years\' experience)
  • Able to effectively investigate and resolve any quality complaints or incidents raised by any interested parties, or when requested by Client, or project manager.
OTHERS
  • Good professional judgment, responsive and pro-active in execution of package equipment deliverables to meet project needs, and ability to handle difficult situations arise due to complexities of Project demand
  • Produce quality engineering deliverables / service and meeting JV/ Client expectation
  • Fulfill QA /HSE aspects, with acceptable team-works
  • Able to supervise, coach and guide young Engineers
About YouThe Candidate shall possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. Hons). Possess at least minimum 7 years of engineering design experiences in various package equipment for onshore / offshore application, preferably with experiences in Green Hydrogen, Electrolyzer and Carbon Capture Storage Projects.Additional Information
  • Be willing to travel and stationed at various Engineering Operating Centers / Client Office on needs basis (for overseas assignment)
  • Site or fabrication experiences (1 to 2 years)
  • Exhibit and maintain good relationship with Client / Peers / Equipment Vendor & suppliers.
  • Good Professional Check (feedback) from past Employers / Clients.
