Duties: \xe2\x80\xa2 Perform piping specification engineering work on projects and provide project support to the overall piping lead engineer as well as engineering manager by performing piping engineering activities related to planning, execution, coordination and design. \xe2\x80\xa2 Resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and client issues. Participate in internal, client, and third party technical audit on engineering deliverables and vendor documents as needed. \xe2\x80\xa2 Interface with Process Systems Group, piping designers, Pipe Stress Engineers and other engineering disciplines on issues concerning pipe specifications, valves, process design, and piping systems flexibility. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate with planning, procurement, fabrication and certifying agencies to ensure clearly defined interfaces and deliverables by maintaining the communication within the group and with other disciplines. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain piping specifications to current codes and standards including ASME B31, ASTM, API, MSS, AWWA, and NACE. \xe2\x80\xa2 Review and participate in the piping and valve material selection process. Perform piping engineer design work as required, including: Code calculations such as MAWP, pipe wall thickness, branch reinforcement, bend and miter fittings pressure capacity, hydrostatic test pressure, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Generate piping material, piping components, mechanical valves, piping specialty items specifications and data sheets for projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare piping material take-off from PID\xe2\x80\x99s \xe2\x80\xa2 Review requisitions for piping components, valves and piping specialty items \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare specifications for fabrication and installation, and testing of piping systems. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical evaluations of bids for piping materials, valves and piping specialty items; Vendor data check and approval. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical support to the field during construction; Visit vendor\xe2\x80\x99s facilities for factory acceptance tests.
