We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Manager to join one of our teams in the Roche Informatics division. In Roche Informatics we focus on delivering technology that evolves the practice of medicine and helps patients live longer, better lives.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be working on

Typical capabilities expected:

Connecting to business strategy, driving a common understanding of the informatics portfolio , and \xe2\x80\x98connect the dots\xe2\x80\x99 with portfolios across Informatics and our Business partners.

Use business domain expertise and strategic agility to help teams focus on business value and align to the strategic initiatives of business and IT leadership. Work with Informatics Domains and business partners to define the strategic themes and value framework to prioritize our work and portfolio based on org needs

Highlight and identify risks/impediments in the portfolio and lead the development of subsequent actions to minimize/mitigate project failure (delayed/over budget)

Ensure resources are effectively deployed and tracked for optimizing investments

Embrace continuous improvement mindset, and model or coach the use of Agile/lean best practices and innovation

Strategic thinker - aligns to top business priorities, and has a strong passion and knowledge of our business and business partners

Very strong in stakeholder management - even with Senior Management

Strong Communication: written and verbal with executive presence; focus on consistent communication of intent and help people understand the why

Has a passion for ensuring good business planning and investments demonstrating, business acumen, financial and resource savviness and has appropriate certifications, if required

Prepared to lead change in our organization, supporting senior leaders to partner with our business stakeholders in managing our IT portfolio

An Agile mindset with ability to pivot between roles and approaches based on team needs

Strong soft skills typically required in stakeholder engagement (empowering people, inspiring, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution)

8-10 years professional IT experience in a global or multi-site IT organization

3-5 years experience managing and executing Project Management and/or Customer Services with at least 7+ years of Portfolio management experience

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail with ability to conduct effective research, complete data analysis, efficient problem solving, creative thinking and ability to communicate performance trends

Strong team collaboration and organizational skills

Willingness to travel internationally if required (10%)

Experience within Pharmaceutical/ BioTech industry and prior experience at Roche is a plus

ACADEMIC AND TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

Graduated in IT or related knowledge areas

Project and (Lean) Portfolio Management

Governance in IT

Knowledge in technology applications and data

Finance and costs management
