Job Description


Job Title: Senior Preschool Teacher Reports To: Branch Manager Job Overview: The Senior Preschool Teacher is responsible for leading a classroom of preschool-aged children in a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum, providing opportunities for social and emotional growth, and communicating effectively with parents and guardians. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop and implement curriculum and activities that align with the center\'s philosophy and state standards for early childhood education.
  • Create a positive, safe, and nurturing environment that supports the social and emotional development of young children.
  • Ensure that all children receive the attention and care they need, including meeting their basic needs such as feeding, diapering, and resting.
  • Monitor and assess each child\'s progress, adjusting curriculum and teaching methods as needed to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child\'s progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of each child\'s development and progress, using appropriate tools and systems.
  • Adhere to all center policies and procedures, including safety, health, and hygiene guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices and new developments in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • State certification and licensure in early childhood education.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a preschool or infant care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move around a classroom for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry children weighing up to 25kg.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and reach to interact with children and perform necessary tasks.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM2,800.00 - RM3,600.00 per month Benefits:
