Job Description

Job Summary:Working with OSAT, identify best suited material, process for Renesas selected packages, qualify them successfully, manage PCNs and ramp up. Sustain the line to prevent quality excursions and operate the line in most efficient way (automate where possible).Your New Roles:

• Identify suitable build of material, design and processes to qualify a brand new factory focusing on (i) lead frame based packages (eg QFPs, SOIC, QFNs) (ii) substrate based packages (eg CSP, BGAs) (iii) Flip Chip Pkgs.
• Establish and Execute Process characterizations, Qualifications, customer PCN for the 3 categories above.
• Review and update process/equipment specs and related documents to ensure quality and yields are above the established baseline.
• Working across Renesas and OSAT to start up volume as committed.
• Identify and coordinate assembly yield, quality, and cost improvement activities.
• Implement WIP data tracking, monitor yields/quality indices real time.
• Address internal and external customer complaints collaborating with Test / Product Engineers, Quality & Operations organization.

Qualifications

• PhD / Masters / Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Material Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Applied Sciences.
• Experienced in process engineering or package development of material/process/design of lead frame based, substrate-based packages and flip chip process.
• 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor field
• Fully understand the process / package capabilities, limitations, and quality / reliability requirements of IC package.
• Skillful knowledge of standard semiconductor assembly processes. Knowledge of SPC and statistical analysis software (such as JMP) is an added advantage.
• Personal merit should include successful qualification and releasing of new packages into production.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills especially in English.
• Strong analytical, written communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel locally and abroad in short notices.
