Wellkinetics is a boutique consultancy firm supporting clients in various aspects of sustainability. We are based in Malaysia with presence in the Asia Pacific region. Our team is made up of experienced consultants and engineers across multiple disciplines. Within our suite of solutions, process safety management (PSM) is a key focus area where we help clients assess hazards and risks of their operations to reduce potential harm to people, environment, asset and reputation.

Role:

Senior Process Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake audits on Process Safety Management (PSM) program and elements (e.g. MOC, PSSR) at client's operations and/or facilities. Provide recommendations and support closure of actions from audits and safety reviews Facilitate hazard and safety reviews (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP) including preparation and reporting. Undertake risk assessment through the use of risk analysis techniques and tools (e.g. bowtie, LOPA) Prepare and deliver training related to process safety such as on MOC, SCE management. Provide coaching to client's staff on matters related to process safety issues. Undertake engagements with potential clients, including on client acquisition process and activities. Travel occasionally to clients' facilities or offices, when required, in the course of undertaking work. Other tasks in support of Principal Consultants

To be successful in this role, you will:

Have a bachelor's degree in chemical or process engineering. Have approximately 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, with at least 5 of those years spent in a process safety engineer / role Be proficient in process safety including facilitation of safety studies e.g. HAZOP. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be proficient in the use of computers and relevant software. Be self-driven and able to deliver with minimum supervision, including in a virtual work environment. Have the right to work in Malaysia i.e. a Malaysian or have the appropriate residence permit.

Contract duration:

We can offer various work arrangements to suit your career aspirations. This can be on full-time termed contract basis (6-12 months with potential extension), part time or full-time-equivalent basis, or on a per job basis. Speak to us to know more.
