Source and procure materials, components, and services related to railway operations (e.g., rolling stock parts, signaling equipment, electrical components, infrastructure materials).
Evaluate and manage supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and service.
Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ), compare quotations, and conduct price and contract negotiations.
Collaborate with Engineering, Project, and Production teams to understand technical requirements and specifications.
Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply issues or delays.
Maintain accurate procurement records and update the ERP system accordingly.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual terms, and relevant regulations.
Identify and develop new suppliers to support business needs and cost-saving initiatives.
Assist in tender preparation and procurement planning for railway projects.
Support vendor audits and quality assessments when required.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing or railway industries.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with technical specifications and standards in the railway sector is an added advantage.
Understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, and sourcing strategies.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
