Grab\xe2\x80\x99s Fulfillment Team acts as a horizontal platform tech family with the goal of deepening fulfillment capabilities for all Grab businesses in a platform manner and providing them solutions that help connect our driver partners to Grab customers and create a highly reliable, cost-efficient and faster transportation and logistics platform. The Dispatch team within Fulfillment focuses on Grab\xe2\x80\x99s pricing, matching, batching, in-trip and in-order management, and fulfillment orchestration across all our verticals.

The Dispatch Product Analytics Team advances ride-hailing and delivery fulfillment product innovation with analytics and experimentation best practices. We aim to solve the most complicated problems in matching demand and supply in an efficient, reliable, and affordable manner at scale. We are responsible for ensuring Dispatch Product teams are equipped with the right metrics and insights to drive Grab\xe2\x80\x99s mission forward. We provide product development guidance through rigorous data-backed insights and evaluate key initiatives for impact using experimental and quasi-experimental statistical techniques. We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Data Scientist to join our team.

Get to Know the Role

Your role is to help Grab\xe2\x80\x99s Dispatch product teams be more data-driven and objective, provide guidance for the design of controlled experiments and influence the direction of our product roadmap with data and insights. You will work with product managers, engineers, designers, and business stakeholders across the company with recommendations on how to learn from unexpected results, study underlying causes for them, and iterate on the next set of Dispatch products to build for our users.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

• Use product, business, and operations expertise to measure and analyze the business and product performance of Grab\xe2\x80\x99s Dispatch solutions in each of our markets and Transport and Deliveries lines of business.
• Lead the exploration of Dispatch product and business opportunities, uncover insights that improve the way our delivery and transport pricing, batching, driver searching, and in-job driver guidance systems work, and identify targeted areas for growth leveraging these systems.
• Partner closely with the broader Fulfilment product, engineering, and business teams to design and analyze experiments or to apply quasi-experimental approaches that drive key driver matching, allocation, and job experience outcomes.
• Localize and tune the Dispatch\xe2\x80\x99s Product Team\xe2\x80\x99s products to new markets to enable product velocity.
• Provide thought leadership and generate data-driven hypotheses to solve key Dispatch Product Team Product and Business problems.
• Develop statistical approaches to understand interaction effects or product configurations that are working sub-optimally.

The Must-Haves:

• You have Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility.
• You have a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in Analytics, Statistics, Software, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or, Engineering.
• You have 3-6 years of experience in Product Analytics, Product Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar roles providing insights with data at scale; preferably in Fulfilment or Dispatch related functions in ride-hailing or delivery companies.
• You are proficient in SQL, Python, Power BI, or similar tools and their application to analyze and develop product solutions within multi-disciplinary Product teams.
• You are proficient in applying experimental and non-experimental statistical techniques to drive insights from large data sets.
• You are a self-motivated and independent learner who can manage time efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
