Job Description

Product Development To identify, evaluate, recommend, conceptualize, source, and develop new products to meet company market needs. Manage the timeline and deliverables of new products or other product initiatives. To do preliminary and market feasibility study for new products. Conduct market and product survey to determine market trends and directions. Liaise with supplier on product requitements and negotiate supplier\'s business terms and conditions to ensure the highest and consistent product quality, profitability and continual supply are met for the benefits of company. Responsible for product packaging development (packaging specification, packaging design, labelling and product claims) to meet company policy and regulatory compliance. To conduct internal panel testing (qualitative & quantitative) for internal staffs to gauge consumer acceptance. Propose product pricing. Work closely with Sales and Marketing departments on post-mortem preparation after product launch. Prepare annual product range budget. Regulatory Affairs Responsible for product notification/registration and product\'s regulatory compliance to ensure product\'s legal/regulatory requirements are met. Prepare documentation and submission of product notification and registration. Maintenance and renewal work for product licenses Conduct regulatory review and approval on product formulas, product claims, product labels and promotional materials. Properly maintain and update all regulatory documentation (PIF files) and archiving system. Monitor new or amendment of regulations and update business partners as necessary, and ensure products are compliance to changes of regulations. Skills & Knowledge Computer literate in Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Words and Excel). Able to converse and good written skills in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia Good conceptual skills, innovative, creative, resourceful and ability to think strategically. Good knowledge of product development process, cosmetics notification procedures, and understanding of scientific matters. Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
