The Opportunity

We are looking for a

Senior PHP Developer

to be one of the founding members of our Kuala Lumpur development team. This is a hands-on senior role where you will write code, solve complex problems, and help shape how the KL hub operates day to day.

You will work closely with our CTO and international development team to build and improve:

Website features and checkout flows Internal tools that support business operations Integrations with systems managing stock, orders, and customers
Over time, you will help grow and mentor a small development team in KL.

What You Will Do

Lead delivery of website features, internal tools, and system enhancements Write clean, reliable PHP code and review code from other developers Collaborate with the CTO and Brisbane-based team on architecture and technical decisions Troubleshoot production issues and own fixes end-to-end Mentor developers and provide technical guidance as the team grows Improve development practices, code quality, and release processes
Non-Negotiables (Must Have)

Senior-level PHP developer with strong hands-on coding experience

Minimum 7+ years of PHP development experience

Strong understanding of modern PHP frameworks and backend architecture Experience with at least one major modern PHP framework Proven experience shipping production-ready code Experience mentoring or guiding other developers Comfortable across the full development lifecycle (build, test, deploy) Clear communicator, able to work with remote teams Office-based in Kuala Lumpur, Monday to Friday
Nice to Have

Experience helping to build or scale a development team Exposure to e-commerce or high-traffic systems Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g. JavaScript frameworks) Experience integrating with ERP, CRM, or inventory systems Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM14,000.00 per month
