Doka MEAAP is currently looking to recruit a career driven professional to join its versatile team in Malaysia. The suitable candidate will be a qualified, natural team player who can add significant value to this highly dynamic team.



As a valued member of our engineering team, you will be based in our Malaysia office, responsible for providing engineering design and calculation support to large-scale and/or infrastructure projects across the Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific (MEAAP) regions.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering EAP, this role requires an enthusiastic individual well-versed in the formwork and scaffolding industry. The successful candidate should possess a deep understanding of formwork and scaffolding, demonstrating the ability to independently manage formwork and scaffolding design planning, along with providing valuable support to the sales team during proposal and pitching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining regular contact with customers and the sales organization as a problem solver and discussion partner
  • Analyzing structural drawings provided by clients
  • Implementing scaffolding and/or formwork solutions according to project requirements
  • Preparing and proposing the most economical and technically optimal solutions
  • Conducting basic structural analysis of scaffolding based on accepted local standards
  • Producing material lists, offers, and/or shop drawings
  • Assisting the sales engineer with site visits
  • Providing estimations for project workload and ensuring timely delivery of shop drawings as per instructions
  • Coordinating with clients for technical issues
  • Designing access scaffolding
  • Generating material lists for quotation or delivery based on designs
  • Coordinating closely with in-house scaffolding specialists regarding technical issues and scaffolding activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines
  • Minimum of three years of scaffolding experience in construction and/or oil & gas industry
  • Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, BIM, Revit, Inventor)
  • Strong analytical skills and technical proficiency in the formwork industry, with a focus on the Asia Pacific region is highly advantageous
  • Ability to generate high-quality designs with cost and economic considerations
  • Basic technical and static understanding
  • Independent and detail-orientated
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills for managing multiple stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel and be mobile
