A publishing company is seeking a Senior Publishing Executive/Graphic Designer with graphic design background to join their team. This role offers hybrid work arrangement and is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

About the Senior Publishing Executive/Graphic Designer Role:
Reporting to the Publishing Head, you will oversee the design development of publishing projects and providing product support for the sales team, and support the routine administration work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design development of publishing projects
• Provide initial design concepts to Publishing Project Managers and Sales team for approval
• Source out and provide design directions to freelance designers
• Provide quality checks to maintain smooth flow of production for print jobs before it is sent off for print production according to job specifications
• Checks proofs via hardcopy or softcopy based before and after it has gone to print

To succeed in this role you must have a creative background and strong timeline and stakeholder management.

Key Requirements:

• Two to three years of experience in graphic design within a similar industry
• Team player that will work closely with peers to achieve company goals
• Independent, self-motivated, good communication skills, analytical, mature, proactive and able to work independently under minimum supervision
