Position: Senior QA Project Lead (Test Automation)

Job Location: Regional Office, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

You will act as a subject matter expert on the Functional & Test Automation and will guide the partnership with employees and vendors in the Test Delivery organization

The focus of the role posted here is to provide functional and technical leadership, consulting, and expertise to projects throughout MetLife's Testing Organizations to ensure best practices, lessons learned, and new tools and techniques are being applied to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

This will entail evaluating multiple testing projects simultaneously during the planning phase, with some follow-up as the projects progress. You will follow a multi-year roadmap in the areas listed below.

-DevOps and Agile testing processes and tools
-Testing Tools Evaluation, Installation and Support
-Test Automation Development & provide guidance on current QA team member.
-Broad business functional and application knowledge of MetLife systems portfolio
-Test Environment and Test Data Management

Key Responsibilities:

-Act as Subject Matter Expert for MetLife's Quality Engineering Automation Framework, written in Java and Selenium.
-Develop integrations between MetLife Test Tools and the CI/CD pipeline.
-Analyze MetLife's Test Tool Stack and ensure that it is in line with MetLife's Future State Architecture Plans.
-May need to hand's on the functional testing and test automation development on project basis.
-Work closely with Delivery teams to conduct Proof of Concept
-Work closely with Vendors on Tool maintenance and enhancements.
-Preparing work plan estimates and schedules

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

-Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience
-6+ years broad experience in Information Technologies
-Programming experience in Java, SELENIUM is required. Experience with other programming/scripting languages is a bonus
-Extensive technical skills covering products and technologies knowledge. Sound knowledge of automation, data, and environment management is essential.
-Strong hands-on expertise for automation and few other streams is desired
-Good knowledge of current industry-wide quality & test processes and practices, tools and techniques, and their applicability and impact.
-Software Analysis & Design knowledge/experience is needed while also having a solid background in Software Quality & Testing.
-Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred:

-Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field preferred
-Experience with DevOps practices and tools
-Mobile App Testing experience with Appium
-Insurance business knowledge
-Experiences in crafting / customized the Test Automation Framework.
