Role Overview
The Senior QA Test Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust testing strategies to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications. This role works closely with engineering, QA leadership, and business stakeholders to align testing approaches with overall product and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex automated testing frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or other relevant tools. Build and execute automated test suites with comprehensive coverage across web applications. Prepare, document, and execute detailed test plans to improve test coverage, defect detection, and overall quality metrics. Collaborate with QA Managers and Engineering Leads to align on quality standards, test strategies, and technical approaches. Work closely with System Analysts to review complex requirements and assess testability early in the development lifecycle. Conduct test strategy and test case reviews, providing constructive feedback to development teams. Perform advanced testing activities, including API testing, performance testing, and security testing. Evaluate, recommend, and implement new testing tools, frameworks, and quality assurance practices where appropriate. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance QA processes and delivery outcomes.

Technical Competencies

Strong proficiency in modern test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent tools. Solid experience in QA architecture and test design, including behavioural testing and end-to-end test strategies. Hands-on experience with API testing, performance testing, and security testing methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, agile environments.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant tertiary qualification in Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing.
