Responsible for ensuring product and process quality throughout the
manufacturing lifecycle, from new product introduction to mass production
This role involves overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting
audits, managing suppliers, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Senior Quality Engineer will also play a key role in supporting new product
introductions (NPI) and resolving quality issues related to both internal processes
and supplier performance.
Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight:
Ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the QMS, including
compliance with relevant standards like ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and IPC standards.
Support and participate in supplier audits, customer audits, and thirdparty/
certification body audits (e.g., ISO, IATF).
Compile quality reports and actively participate in QMR (Quality Management
Review) meetings and KPI performance reviews.
Plan & conduct the internal audit accordance with ISO 9001 requirements
New Product Introduction (NPI) Support:
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met during
the NPI process, including PFMEAs, control plans, and PCNs.
Responsible for the preparation and submission of PPAP (Production Part Approval
Process) and FAI (First Article Inspection) to customers.
Process and Product Audits:
Conduct process & product audits, identify non-conformities, and drive corrective
and preventative actions.
Responsible for SMT (Surface Mount Technology) judgment, including evaluation
and disposition of SMT-related defects.
As part of the CFT team, support activities related to ECNs, including reviewing,
coordinating, and implementing changes.
Quality Data Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and report on quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Prepare and submit quality reports required by customers and internal
management in a timely and accurate manner.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce
waste, and improve efficiency.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Production,
and Supply Chain to ensure quality objectives are met.
Monitor and analyze quality trends, defect rates, and customer complaints to drive
quality improvement.
Customer Communication:
Act as a point of contact for customer quality concerns and work to resolve issues
and prevent recurrence.
MSA
Prepare Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and interpret the results.
Equipment calibration (administration)
Maintain calibration schedules to keep all tools within their valid calibration period.
ESD control & monitoring:
Manage and address all ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) related matters to ensure
compliance with internal and customer standards.
Document Control:
Ensure that all quality documentation is properly maintained and controlled.
Oversee Document Control Center (DCC) related activities, including document
submission, approval workflows, and annual reviews. Maintain and continuously
improve quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions to ensure
compliance with internal standards and external requirements.
Supplier Quality Management:
Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, monitor their performance, and manage nonconforming
materials.
Training and Mentoring:
Provide training and guidance to production and quality staff on quality standards
and inspection methods.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
Extensive experience in quality engineering, with a strong background in
PCBA and the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, statistical process
control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Control Plan (CP), 8D
methodology and related quality tools and methodologies.
Familiar with factory management system (ERP, MES, WMS, Agile) will be added
advantages.
Familiarity with relevant industry standards (knowledge of ISO9001, IATF
16949 and IPC standards) and experience with software for data analysis
and reporting.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
