Lead overall Quality Management System (QMS) for OSAT operations including Assembly, Test, and Backend processes.
Manage Quality teams covering IQC, IPQC, OQC, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, and Reliability.
Drive quality culture, accountability, and continuous improvement across manufacturing sites.
Customer Quality Management
Act as main quality interface for key customers (IDMs / Fabless companies).
Handle customer complaints, SCARs, 8D, and root cause analysis with timely and effective closure.
Lead customer audits, business reviews, and quality performance reporting.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements (CSR).
Quality System & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 (if applicable), ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and customer audits.
Maintain and continuously improve QMS documentation, procedures, and controls.
Lead internal, external, and third-party audits (customers, certification bodies).
Manufacturing & Process Quality
Oversee process control, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and PPAP (where applicable).
Drive yield improvement, defect reduction, and cost of poor quality (COPQ) reduction.
Support NPI, new package introduction, and technology transfer with quality readiness.
Ensure effective change management (ECN/ECR) and risk assessment.
Supplier Quality Management
Manage Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) for materials, subcontractors, and service providers.
Drive supplier audits, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Lead supplier issue resolution and corrective/preventive actions.
Reliability & Failure Analysis
Oversee reliability testing, qualification, and failure analysis activities.
Ensure proper FA methodology and reporting to meet customer and industry standards.
People & Stakeholder Management
Develop and coach Quality leaders and engineers.
Cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
Support corporate quality initiatives and regional/global alignment.
Job RequirementsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials, or related).
Master's Degree is an added advantage.
Experience
Minimum
10-15 years
of Quality experience in
Semiconductor OSAT / Backend Manufacturing
.
At least
5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role
.
Strong exposure to Assembly & Test processes (Wirebond, Flip Chip, Mold, TnR & Probe, Test).
Technical & Professional Skills
Strong knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and quality tools.
Hands-on experience with:
SPC, FMEA, MSA, DOE
8D, RCA, CAPA
ISO/IATF standards
Familiar with customer audits and major semiconductor customers' quality systems.
Strong data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
