Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented

Senior Quantity Surveyor

with a strong background in

interior design, renovation, and fit-out projects

, particularly within

retail and F&B establishments

. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing project costs, maintaining strict budgetary control, and providing comprehensive commercial support across multiple projects. This position covers the full spectrum of quantity surveying responsibilities, from

pre-contract

to

post-contract

stages, ensuring efficient project delivery and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and develop

Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

based on drawings, specifications, and site requirements. Prepare cost estimates, budgets and feasibility studies for new projects. Manage all aspects of cost planning, procurement advice and tendering. Evaluate and negotiate tenders, contracts and subcontractor packages. Administer contract variations, claims and final accounts in a timely manner. Monitor project costs, track variations and provide accurate cost reporting. Conduct value engineering exercises to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality or design intent. Work closely with the design, procurement and project teams to ensure alignment of budget and project delivery. Provide strategic input on procurement strategies and subcontractor selection. Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections to validate work progress and compliance with contract specifications. Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors where applicable. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum

5 years

of hands-on experience in quantity surveying with an experience

at senior level

is a plus. Proven experience in

interior design/fit-out

,

retail renovation

and

restaurant build-outs

. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PAM, CIDB, or relevant FIDIC standards). Excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills. High level of integrity, with strong commercial and contractual awareness. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects concurrently. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, etc.).

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
