Job Description


The R&D Engineer will be responsible for driving product innovation and development, conducting research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the company\'s chocolate and/or dairy products.

  • Lead and execute research and development projects focused on chocolate and dairy products.
  • Conduct comprehensive market and consumer research to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities for new product development.
  • Design and implement experiments, trials, and tests to evaluate product formulations, quality, functionality, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including production, quality control, and marketing, to ensure seamless product development processes and timely commercialization.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to chocolate and dairy products, and ensure compliance throughout the development process.
  • Analyze and interpret research data, present findings, and provide recommendations to stakeholders for product enhancements and improvements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, partners, and external resources to support research and development initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, explore cost-saving opportunities, and optimize processes to enhance product quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, procedures, and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and intellectual property protection.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements, scientific literature, and industry developments to bring innovative solutions to the organization.

  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in research and development, preferably within the food industry, with a focus on chocolate and/or dairy products.
  • Strong knowledge of food chemistry, formulation, and product development principles, as well as quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in conducting experiments, data analysis, and statistical tools/software for research purposes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop new and improved products.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and trends in the food industry is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits, conferences, and industry events.
