We\xe2\x80\x99re a high performing team of passionate, fun-loving and hardworking individuals with varied backgrounds who come together to enrich and increase individual and organization productivity, and deliver consistent and quality app releases to Grab customers. We are part of Grab\xe2\x80\x99s engineering scale family, where we work across multiple service teams, orchestrating critical and technical aspects of the mobile apps. We are looking for a Release Manager that loves to communicate concisely, and accurately across cross functional diversified teams along with understanding of the latest mobile development technology.

Get to know the Role

• Lead the mobile apps release process across all main mobile apps in Grab
• Work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner facing new products, platforms and features.
• Ensure mobile applications can be rapidly and safely delivered to our customers through robust CD pipelines, tooling and processes
• Collaborate with QA on continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) as well as other automated and manual testing to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
• Own the mobile apps release processes and constantly find ways of improving them in a data-driven manner.
• Evaluate new mobile methodologies and technologies.

• The Day-to-Day Activities
• Prepare and manage the Mobile Apps Release Trains
• Work closely with the Release Engineers and QAs to ensure the quality of the released apps
• Monitor the quality of the Release Trains and conduct retrospective when required
• Ensure Apps Submission to the stores and drive resolution of app stores\xe2\x80\x99 impediments
• Continuously measure and improve the efficiency of the Release processes of our mobile apps
• Collaborate across teams to facilitate and champion the quick resolution of problems found during the Release process of our mobile apps
• Improve the reliability, stability and efficiency with which we release our apps and services by contributing to the release automation tooling
• Maintain, and streamline the Grab automated CD pipelines deployed on multiple environments
• The Must-Haves
• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in release management and managing apps in the Play Store and App Store is required
• DevOps expertise for handling automations for app releases
• Experience in mobile app development, CD pipelines and mobile apps build systems
• Previous exposure to incident & risk management
• Understanding of Jira or other defect management tools
• Effective communication skills to handle comms to management, cross-functional teams, and a proven track record of getting things done/shipping projects
• Experience working in a dynamic fast-moving environment where autonomy and self-decision making is needed.

• An understanding of Agile is desirable but not essential, more important than your specific skill set is your \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and willingness to not be constrained by your job description.
• Experience with stakeholder management is preferred
