The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRC) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary candidate to fill the position of

Resource Mobilisation and Sustainability (RMS) Senior Officer

to lead fundraising initiatives, strengthen donor relations, and design sustainable partnership strategies.

Key Role



The position will play a vital role in ensuring the organization's financial sustainability through strategic efforts, including identifying new funding opportunities, preparing high-impact proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and supporting the long-term continuity of MRC programmes.

Key Responsibilities



Plan and implement comprehensive fundraising and sustainability strategies for the organization. Develop and manage relationships with diverse donor segments: corporates, foundations, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional donors. Prepare and submit effective fundraising proposals, grant applications, and donor reports. Build and maintain strategic partnerships and consortia aligned with MRC strategic objectives. Conduct market research to identify emerging funding opportunities. Lead strategic planning efforts for long-term fundraising and partnership initiatives. Support project design, budget preparation, and implementation of resource mobilisation activities. Represent MRC in high-profile donor meetings, forums, and official events.

Qualifications & Experience



Degree in International Development, Strategic Management, Economics, Marketing, Business, International Relations, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, including in senior-level roles in international development or donor engagement. Proven track record in donor proposal writing and successful fundraising from corporate donors, private philanthropists, trusts/foundations, or high-net-worth individuals. Strong experience in institutional capacity building and humanitarian programmes. Cross-cultural experience, preferably within the Asia-Pacific region. Prior experience working with the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement will be an added advantage.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
