Senior Sales Engineer (Industry 4.0/Digitalization)

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Solid-line Reporting: Industrial Engineering & Lifetime Solutions Manager, Malaysia
Functional Reporting: MRO Sales Manager, Malaysia

Goal of Position

Position was created as Industry 4.0 aspiration to meet 10% of Schaeffler\'s AP revenue by 2025. This passionate person will be part of the team to develop and sell I4.0 portfolio solutions to achieve the aspiration.

He/She will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, qualifying, supporting and processing of new I4.0 potential leads & opportunities through to realization of order to meet/exceed sales target
  • Driving the growth & order fulfilment of Industry 4.0 portfolio through direct customers\' interaction and cooperation with local/regional teams.
  • Driving the Industry 4.0 sales & growth for Service-based solutions; implement business models with focus on I4.0 portfolio, and extend Schaeffler\'s share in the Digital/Cloud space.
  • Ensuring long term business sustainability by developing/on-board existing/new partners (DI/System Integrator/Service Partner etc).
  • Managing the sales pipeline, qualifying, prioritizing & facilitating sales pursuits to meet/exceed sales target.
  • Working with other functional team members (technical engineers, application engineers, customers service, sales, marketing etc), and promote the development of value-add solutions to customers.
Job Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell Industry 4.0 Solutions and other complementary products in the Schaeffler portfolio.
  • Independent market development & expansion of customer base; with strong focus on Industry 4.0 product portfolio & digital business model.
  • Active management of Industry 4.0 sales pipeline, ensuring Salesforce is maintained & up-to-date, and to identify opportunities through to realization.
  • Responsible for supporting, identifying, qualifying and processing of new Industry 4.0 potential leads & opportunities.
  • To design technical & financial models/proposition that best meet the customers\' needs.
  • Development of Strategic Industry 4.0 partners in the context of "Certified by Schaeffler" concept; and ensure partners achieve/exceed targets & KPIs.
  • Proactive customer support & follow-up; to actively identify/hunt for opportunities.
  • Responsible for quotation preparation & negotiation; work with Sales Team to close sales.
  • Independent ownership, control & responsible of sales pipeline, Salesforce, BPC/forecast for dedicated/selected I4.0 partners.
  • Capture market requirements & competitive situation, be the "Voice of Customer" in providing customer\'s feedback to optimize Industry 4.0 solution portfolio.
  • Cross border/region/global collaboration for Industry 4.0 pursuits, development projects, promotion/marketing events.
  • To initiate and/or support Industry 4.0 promotional activities/events, actively promote Industry 4.0 product portfolio offline and online, develop success/win cases, share Schaeffler\'s solution via webinars, podcast, roadshows, training etc; active sharing of challenges/success with SEA team & customers.
  • Develop customer presentation material based on database of case references on relevant applications, competitor benchmarking; and train sales team in effectively presenting sales material to customers.
  • Conduct Industry 4.0 and other Schaeffler products trainings to customers and partners
  • Approach System Integrators and collaborate to generate package solutions for customers
  • Conduct vibration analysis, interpret results and prepare analysis reports for customers as and when needed

Your Professional Profile Should Include
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the Automation/Condition Monitoring/Industrial/Digitalization industries.
  • Vibration Analysis Level I ISO certification will be an advantage, though not mandatory
  • Knowledge of SCADA integration and working with different communication protocols (OPCUA, Profinet etc) will be a plus
  • Experience working and managing projects with System Integrators will be a plus
  • Proactive, dynamic \xe2\x80\x9chunter\xe2\x80\x9d sales drive with \xe2\x80\x9ccan-do\xe2\x80\x9d, persistent attitude
  • Proven sales record and management with end-customers, sales channels is preferred.
  • Able to maintain positive attitude and energy while interfacing with wide array of individuals and balancing multiple tasks.
  • Competent in value-based selling techniques and strategic sales approach
  • Independent, driven and pro-active to support/follow up with customers for order realization
  • Has good business perspective, and able to balance between technical & financial business models.
  • Skilled in business negotiations and presentation of ideas
  • Energetic and entrepreneurial with desired to meet/exceed targets/KPI.
  • Strong communicator, and good interpersonal team player with the ability to relate to customers (internal/external) and get things done.
  • "Hands-on" person who is customer orientated & result focused.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including CRM software such as Salesforce would be a plus.
  • Willing to travel on short notice
