Job Description


  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the logistics division, aligned with the companys overall goals and objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in all stages of the sales process, including prospecting, negotiations, and deal closures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication within the organization.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the logistics industry to expand our customer base.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, clients, and strategic partners.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands.
  • Monitor sales metrics and performance indicators regularly, ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Understand the unique needs of customers and tailor solutions to address their specific logistics requirements.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and complaints, ensuring swift resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster long-term client relationships to enhance customer loyalty and generate repeat business.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure smooth service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with sales goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA would be an advantage.
  • Proven track record of at least 7 years in logistics sales, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership/senior management position.
  • In-depth understanding of the logistics and transportation industry, including knowledge of various modes of transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related tools.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship building.
  • Ability to travel as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
