? Senior Sales Manager/ Sales Manager (Government/Corporate/Wedding)
A hotel sales manager is responsible for driving revenue and increasing sales for the hotel by developing and executing strategic sales plans. This leadership role involves securing new corporate, group, and event business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to maximize occupancy and profitability.
Key duties and responsibilities
1.Business development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and markets through cold calling, networking, and industry events to generate new business.
2.Sales strategy: Develop, implement, and track strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed hotel revenue goals and occupancy targets.
3.Negotiation and contracts: Negotiate group rates, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs), balancing profitability with client expectations.
4.Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments, such as marketing, revenue management, and operations, to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
5.Performance and reporting: Track and analyze sales metrics and activities using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and provide regular reports and sales forecasts to management.
6.Market research: Stay informed of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies as needed.
Essential qualifications
1.Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing, or a related hospitality role is generally required, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
2.Education: A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or a related field is often preferred.
3.Knowledge: Strong understanding of hotel sales processes, revenue management, and hospitality industry business models.
4.Skills and competencies
Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to build relationships and close deals.
5.Leadership: The ability to lead and motivate a sales team toward meeting and exceeding business goals.
6.Strategic thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret market data, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies.
7.Organizational and time management skills: Capability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
8.Customer-focused mindset: A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
