Senior Sales Support Engineer \xe2\x80\x93 Electrical Solution

As the Senior Sales Support Engineer of Electrical for the Energy industry, you will be responsible for driving the E-House & Electrical solution portfolio of the business. The successful candidate will be solution-oriented engineer and love working on complex projects, driving innovative technical solutions to our customers. The primary focus of this role will be to work with the sales organization in preparing E-House & Electrical technical solutions for Energy Industry (FPSO, Wind Offshore , Petrochemical Industries etc) customer and presenting the solutions to customer across the SEA region to support the proposal process. In this role you will also be supported by a technical hub of engineers, who will support you with the technical drafting of solutions. Reporting to the Sales Support Manager, you need to act as innovator to address the technical solution & offering for new emerging market conditions like Energy transition. The position is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Leading the virtual team to prepare technical and commercial solutions for electrifications (Transformer, Switchgear, MV & LV Drives, DC&UPS, Bus duct, cabling system, Protection System, Current Limiter, NGR ) solution
• Preparing E-House solution for Offshore & On-shore application.Preparing technical and commercial bid for offshore wind substation (OSS) including HV GIS & large power transformer
• Following the ABB defined sales and bid process.Working with your sales colleagues to help to grow ABB electrifications business
• Providing technical support on electrification solutions to hub & global countries based on needs
• Preparing Digital Solution for Electrical Assets.Attending customer sites with sales colleagues and conduct technical presentations and clarifications on electrification solutions
• Participating in the order negotiation and finalization.Actively supporting Sales / FES to achieve the local division order booking budget.Project handover to operation in-line with ABB defined processes

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in engineering / Technology ideally focused on Electrical.
• Ideally 6+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience within the Energy industry but not essential
• Previous design engineering experience (ideally in electrical system design including system study, Electrical room layout design, SLD design, Cable system design, DC& UPS sizing)
• Knowledge of E-House design, basic HVAC design, Structural design.Knowledge of Offshore E-House solution include offshore class rules like ABS, DNV
• Knowledge of HV GIS & large power transformer and finance will be added advantage
• Open to learn ABB Digital platform for monitoring of Electrical assets.Experience in developing strong customer and internal relationships locally and globally
• Good spoken and written communication skills in English.
