Job Description

Protect and safeguard all hotel guest and hotel staff belongings and all hotel assets. Respond rapidly to requests for emergency and non-emergency assistance in professional Manner. Make regular rounds of assigned areas noting unusual circumstances or safety violations. Document, report and follow - up on safety hazards and violations of hotel and company Policy. Observe any abnormal activities on the part of associates or guest. Be Alert to Non - Guest or Suspicious person wandering around the hotel and report to Supervisor or Duty Manager. Escort suspicious or undesirable person off the property if warranted. Assist the duty manager in inspecting the rooms of doubtful clients and assisting with suspected ''walk out'' or ''skippers'' guest who attempt to leave without paying. Investigate any offense reported while on petrol and to ensure full details are made available to the police when necessary & update payroll Staff (Safety & Security). Look out for keys left in doors and to ensure their safekeeping. Maintain a close watch for any fire or safety hazards. Assist in any fire or other emergency situation. Monitor CCTV, Security alarm system and update the fire extinguisher expire date. Escort and witness cash drops when requested. Keep security post neat and tidy at all times. Enforce the hotel associate entrance policy. Ensure that the CCTV monitors, recording decks and walkie-talkie sets are in good operating conditions. Be alert and constantly monitor the CCTV monitor for any unexpected incident. Senior Security Officer, ensure that the daily use keys (such as bar, stores, outlets keys) are accounted for and movement of these keys are property recorded in the relevant log book. Constantly monitors the movement and whereabouts of Security Guard on duty by communicating through the walkie-talkies. To record all relevant information (Feedback) received from the Security Officer in duty log book. To ensure that the fire alarm control panel is in good operating condition. Any Malfunctioning must be immediately reported to the Security Officer /The fire Services Contractor. To monitor the lift system and report any malfunction or defects to the Security Officer/ Engineering Department/ Lift Contractor Elevator immediately. No unauthorized individuals are to be allowed inside Security Control or seeing the CCTV without Approval (From GM/ Safety & Security Manager).
