Job Description

The Senior Security Officer at AirAsia X Berhad will provide leadership to the security team and work closely with law enforcement agencies to protect the company\xe2\x80\x99s assets, interests, and operations. The role involves implementing and enforcing security protocols to prevent incidents such as pilferage, vandalism, fraud, and sabotage, while ensuring confidentiality and maintaining high standards of discipline.Functional Responsibilities

• Provide direction to the security team while liaising with law enforcement agencies to achieve AirAsia X Berhad\'s security objectives.
• Implement and manage security measures to prevent pilferage, crime, vandalism, and sabotage.
• Identify and address staff responsible for losses or breaches of security.
• Protect company revenue by ensuring comprehensive fraudulent travel document checks, particularly for high-risk flights.
• Maintain confidentiality in security operations and sensitive tasks.
• Ensure that all security duties are performed with integrity, professionalism, and courtesy.

Functional Duties

• Conduct covert operations in areas not covered by uniformed security personnel.
• Perform additional checks on targeted flights with elevated threat levels.
• Provide briefings to the Security Fraudulent Travel Document Profiling Team on current threats.
• Recommend and implement appropriate security measures for staff deployment.
• Ensure timely response to Interpol I-check-it notifications for SLTD (Stolen and Lost Travel Documents) and coordinate with relevant entities.

Role Duties

• Track progress against annual plans and KPIs, ensuring all security targets are met; develop action plans as needed.
• Lead initiatives focused on innovation and continuous improvement in security operations.
• Conduct preliminary investigations into security breaches to assess severity.
• Coordinate actions with Guest Services (NTL Unit), Immigration, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), and/or Police in cases of denied boarding.

Merits & QualificationsExperience:

• Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Aviation Security (AVSEC) or a related security field.

Education:

• STPM / SPM or equivalent.
• A Diploma would be an added advantage.

Professional Qualifications:

• ICAO/IATA/DCA approved aviation security certifications are an added advantage.

Training:

• Relevant training will be provided based on operational requirements at AirAsia X Berhad.
