Position : Senior Software Engineer (Back-End)

Salary : RM 7,000 - RM 9,000

Location : Damansara Uptown

Working Days / Time : 8.30am - 5.30pm (Mon-Fri)

Job summary

The Senior Software Engineer (Back-End) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient Windows desktop and web applications using C# and the .NET/.NET Core framework. This role requires strong expertise in back-end development to deliver high-quality, feature-rich, and user-friendly software solutions that support business operations such as POS, ERP, and warehouse systems.

Responsibility

Design, develop, and maintain Windows desktop and web applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability. Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices. Enhance, optimize, and support existing applications such as POS, ERP, and warehouse management systems. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing timely solutions. Develop and consume Web APIs (RESTful/SOAP) to integrate applications and support business workflows. Document technical specifications, system designs, and software features for team reference and future maintenance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, product management, and business operations, to deliver high-quality software solutions. Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and software quality. Assist with ad-hoc development tasks or production needs as assigned by management.

Requirement

Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in back-end development using C# and .NET/.NET Core, focusing on Windows desktop and web applications. Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and related .NET technologies. Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or SDLC. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket. Solid knowledge of relational databases (MS SQL, MySQL, etc.) and the ability to write efficient queries. Good understanding of application integration, including Web Services (REST/SOAP), payment gateways, and hardware interfacing (optional but preferred). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with excellent attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while taking ownership of tasks. Knowledge of business operations and experience in POS or ERP systems is an advantage. Experience in performance tuning, scalable application design, and code optimization is a plus.
