Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to provide
end-to-end IT application support
-- including diagnosis, troubleshooting, recovery, restoration, and closure of incidents, changes, or new implementations within the stipulated SLA.
Perform
system maintenance
and coordinate
testing activities
(SIT, UAT, Regression, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments).
Configure and monitor
automated system alerts
, ensuring proactive performance and availability management.
Provide
application and UAT batch run support
with appropriate authorization from project teams or EAD.
Work closely with vendors to resolve
unresolved or complex incidents
.
Manage
incident logging and ticket queues
-- acknowledge, track, report, and escalate issues in a timely manner for swift resolution.
Participate in
root cause analysis (RCA)
and ensure implementation of
permanent corrective actions
.
Investigate incidents and application issues, document findings, propose resolutions, and alert relevant teams on recurring or potential risks to avoid service disruption.
Provide
status updates and reporting
of incidents/problems to management and stakeholders on a timely basis.
Support
planned and unplanned activities
, including standby duties during high-severity incidents and performance issues.
Assist in
production deployments
,
technology refreshes
, and
system migrations
, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Support
system integration testing (SIT)
with GT partners and business users.
Prepare and collate
ticket statistics, operational reports
, and other information for management, auditors, and regulators.
Actively contribute to
process improvements
in IT support operations and share best practices for continual enhancement.
Technical / Functional Skills
Application Servers:
Proficient in JBOSS, WebLogic, or equivalent enterprise application server tools.
Database & Query Skills:
Experienced with SQL queries using MySQL, Microsoft Access, Oracle, DB2, and MSSQL databases.
Operating Systems:
Hands-on experience with Windows (including Windows 10), UNIX, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
Technical Frameworks & Methodologies:
Knowledge of RDBMS, Object-Oriented Design and Methodology, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
IT Service Management:
Familiar with Incident, Problem, and Change Management based on ITIL principles.
Monitoring & Automation:
Experienced in using IT monitoring tools and automation processes for system performance and availability.
Domain Knowledge:
Strong understanding of critical applications related to
Collections and Recovery
and
Consumer Banking
operations.
Banking Environment Expertise:
Sound knowledge of
banking functions

business processes
within the financial industry.
