About the Role As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you\'ll take ownership across the stack and be responsible for the entire customer journey from where we store data to our server application logic, to our front-end. You\'ll be part of the founding engineer team to build and ship key features. Duties and Responsibilities Work as part of the Engineering Team in enhancing, optimizing and scaling our Policy Management web application. Enhancing current user onboarding, renewals, cancellations, claims journeys. Maintaining large microservices like Pricing, Payments, SFTP, etc. Building Claims Management features to increase efficiency. Building MVPs for new product verticals and continuously iterating and enhancing them based on user feedback. Collaborate cross-functionally with product manager, engineers and designers to develop and ship awesome features. Write efficient, modular, and reusable libraries and abstractions. Design and build internal tooling to improve development efficiency. Find and solve performance issues. Participate in code reviews. Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices. Skills and Requirements At least 3 - 5 years of full-time development experience. Advanced knowledge JavaScript frameworks, particularly NextJS and what comes with it (e.g., HTML5, CSS, TailwindCSS, etc). Expert in DevOps, having owned an AWS infrastructure before, and having managed different types of CI/CD. Ability to communicate technical specifications both verbal and written. Past experience in shipping highly-scalable web applications to production. Ability to design clean APIs and understanding of performance issues. Expert in SQL database design and query optimization. SQL, database design. Experienced with software engineering best practices - design patterns, code reviews, unit, and integration testing, etc. Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies. Desired Skills Familiarity with Python-based frameworks like Django and FastAPI is a big plus. Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure security, common attacks and defences, Penetration Testing, and security regulations and compliance. Past experience building products within the insurance/fintech industry and a basic understanding or interest in data science.
