Get to Know the Team
The PeopleTech team owns and manages our custom internal performance management and culture tools. We work collaboratively across different functions between Singapore and Malaysia to ensure our service meets the highest standards to drive impact that will shape how Grab grows as a company. You'll be part of a working group that values quality and strives for continuous improvement through collaboration and new ideas. Our communication is in English, both in spoken and written form.
Get to Know the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will conduct manual quality assurance checks and write automated test scripts to ensure software quality. You'll also troubleshoot issues in software and implement automated testing strategies and tools. You will own, track and drive quality processes(eg postmortems, oncall) for the team. You'll collaborate with engineering, product, design and business teams, to help achieve the team's goals.
You will work onsite in Grab Vietnam office, CMC Creative Space, D7, HCMC and report to an Engineering Manager, who is based in Malaysia
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will provide functional and regression testing for web applications.
• You will develop automated test scripts using automation frameworks, maintaining and enhancing these scripts.
• You will drive quality processes such as postmortems and oncall with the team.
• You will implement both manual and automated functional and regression test cases, maintaining automated test scripts.
• You will debug failed test cases and report defects with clear details to lead closure.
• You will work with developers, product owners, test leads, and engineers to improve testing efficiencies and expand test coverage.
• You will define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as proposed tools for functional, security, and performance testing in a programmatic manner.
• You will maintain quality dashboards and provide test estimates, record, report defects and quality metrics to depict the status of the sprint and system stability.
• You will report to the Engineering Manager of the team.

Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields.
2+ years of experience as QA Engineer/Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer.
Solid understanding of test methodologies, test planning, test case design and test processes. Ability to debug failed test cases and report defects.
Have hands-on coding experience with test automation, including script languages (Python) or other languages (Javascript, Go etc.) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, JBehave, and Serenity.
Practical experience with SQL for database queries on metrics and testing.
Experience using build and release pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent.
