About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data and Services (D&S) tribe at SWIFT, covering Screening and Transaction Data portfolios.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be working as a member of an agile dynamic team that is responsible for end-to-end delivery; from customer engagement to operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• You will design, develop, test, install and support applications in line with product requirements

• You will create, deploy and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines ensuring the development and release of software is seamless

• You will study technical feasibility, propose system solutions and provide estimates and delivery timelines

• You will apply automation, monitoring and alerting across product solution whenever possible

• You will collaborate with UX designers, testers, security partners to ensure high quality and compliance in the product development and delivery process

• You will develop and maintain technical documentation, prepare and give presentations to other team members, management and customer when necessary

• You will work in a truly agile and international environment across continents

Professional skills

• Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines

• Autonomous, empowered with the ability to adapt and respond to change

• Customer oriented and quality mindset we continually strive to deliver customer value

• Open-minded, solutions oriented, and a true team player ability to collaborate with teams operating in other time-zones (Europe and APAC)

• Excellent written and verbal (English) communications

• Analytical with very good troubleshooting skills in understanding complex situations and dependencies

• Practical working experience in an Agile environment

• Interested to stay up to date with the latest technologies

Technical skills

• Strong experience (5 years) with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot technologies is required.
• Practical experience of SQL databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, xe2x80xa6) including data modelling is recommended.
• Practical experience with software development tools and CI/CD technologies (GIT, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Ansible) is recommended.
• Practical experience with Angular web applications is an asset.
• Practical experience with Automated Testing for web applications is an asset.

• Experience with Linux and shell scripting is an asset.

• Experience with agile tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Github).
