The role has an important contribution to the product\xe2\x80\x99s quality, reliability, and customer focus design experience as per approved functional and technical specifications within Cochlear Quality Management System/Regulatory framework.The role works with V&V Lead, development teams, other V&V Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analyst, Software Delivery Managers, and Quality Engineers (when applicable). The Senior V&V Engineer plans/executes the V&V plans and partners with the development teams within a squad setup whilst ensuring the high-standard regulatory/quality compliance.Responsibilities include:

• Generate and maintain input and output V&V documentation
• Understand, follow, assess, and improve current V&V processes and procedures. These may be part of internal policies, applicable international standards, applicable regulatory requirements and/or specific team processes.
• Define, estimate, execute and collaborate V&V work with team members and support the required V&V work to ensure project and product V&V deliverables are met at the required level of quality and within the required time. Contribute to resourcing / planning activities with project\xe2\x80\x99s V&V lead. Identify team\xe2\x80\x99s training needs and support training delivery when applicable
• Deliver the V&V components of product releases by managing work packages or subtasks within the team from start to finish.
• Design test cases and create test scripts and supporting data to continuously improve test case relevance. Form logical test case entities that are efficient through context and can be applied in different locations. Develop scientific test methods from the ground up and pioneer their execution.
• Maintain and regularly report the test hardware readiness conditions for any testing activities including any test hardware requires regular calibrations status or maintenance
• Setup correct test environment (manual/automated) as required by test definitions/Test Coverage Review minutes and escalate any potential issue related to the test hardware provision for the testing activities
• Creative and innovative thinking to debug/simplify test process/method but still maintaining the required coverage and regulatory/quality compliance
• Accountable for testing delivery within projects in compliance with quality/regulatory management system
• Having team work spirit that ensuring the team members contribute to the success of the project as well as Cochlear
• Think outside the box with a sense of innovation based on customers\xe2\x80\x99 experience
• Training, mentorship, and guidance for other team members to ensure that objectives of the V&V team and the V&V requirements of project are met. Assume personal responsibility for the success of the team.

• Tertiary qualification in relevant field of computing / engineering / science
• 4-6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a full lifecycle commercial software, firmware, electronics or system testing / development environment or test automation system, delivering verification and validation for consumer facing devices in a successful product launch.
• Demonstrated experience in executing verification processes (frontend/backend/electronics/end-to-end), paying great attention to detail and meeting product quality standards. Skilled in cross-functional thinking and problem solving.

• Solid understanding of test methodologies, System/Software Integration Testing and System/Software development life cycle / V-model / automation model

• Demonstrated ability to define test conditions for given requirements and designs.
• Experience in performance and functional testing, pertaining to interface testing and a test automation.
• Knowledge on and experience with Agile development practices
• Able to make technical assessments / decisions from multiple measurements across test setups.
• Capable to use digital oscilloscope and multimeter and other electronics measurement equipment.
• Sound capabilities in coding/scripting language such as Python, debugging test scripts, writing test cases in pseudo code.

Ideal

• Experience with the development of products within a Product Design/Development framework or the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with electronics and electronic test equipment/automation
• Experience with test automation execution/development
• Experience in a highly regulated industry e.g., medical devices
• Experience in performing V&V activities for embedded software.
• Experience with audio signal processing design or implementation
