What to expect:

Our 20-month Digital Trainee Programme will give you insights into the various activities that take place in Digital Hub Kuala Lumpur. You will familiarize yourself with various topics across various systems, and how it works in the larger BASF landscape. Gain a comprehensive understanding of unit-specific and cross-unit tasks. After just a short time, you will assume responsibility for exciting projects or subprojects. You will be assigned to four rotations, each lasting approximately five months each. Upon successful completion of your rotations, you will have the opportunity to do an all-expense paid rotation in Germany, to expand your network and further develop your intercultural skills.

Responsiblities

In BASFs path forward for Development Solutions you, together with the team, will be active in various areas of Software development platforms. Within the product teams you will design, develop, and enhance applications. You will learn, translate business needs into user stories and implement low-code/no-code/coded solutions that improve operational efficiency. In addition, you participate in hackathons, design thinking sessions, and community forums (e.g., Yammer, Teams) to foster innovation and knowledge sharing.



Your own software developments create value in projects; therefore, your programming skills are appreciated. Additionally, you support the management of developments in cooperation with internal colleagues or external service providers.


You will use agile methodologies and DevOps practices in product lifecycle management. At the end of the rotations, you would be able to support citizen developers across APAC by coaching, sharing best practices, and enabling self-service development.

Requirements:

Prior experience in software development with Coding and / or LowCode/NoCode development platforms Programming skills: If you have any skills in either Python or Java or any Web development stack (React/Vue/Node) in general, JavaScript, CSS, HTML Familiar with cloud technology and databases Good learning aptitude, a positive attitude and a growth mindset. You can communicate clearly and authentically in English (spoken and written). You like to work in an international/global team independently as well as collaboratively.

Nice to have:

Experience and Know How in one of the platforms: Microsoft PowerPlatform, Outsystems, UIPath, Bizagi, ServiceNow Working in Agile methodologies and knowledge in Azure DevOps Detail oriented, analytical, proactive, and inquisitive. Experience in complex interface integration and API creation/management UI/UX Design Usage of AI Technology Experience with Business Process Workflows (BPM) and Automation (RPA)
